All in One SEO 4.0 Is Coming Soon! Here’s Your Sneak Peek…

Earlier this year, we announced that All in One SEO joined the Awesome Motive family.

With over 2 million active installs, All in One SEO is one of the most popular and reliable WordPress SEO plugins in the world – and we want to make it even better.

Our goal:

To make SEO easy for everyone by not only giving you the right tools, but also actionable insights to optimize your site, even if you’re not an SEO expert.

In the past few months, we’ve released several new features including:

  • Image SEO addon
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Google News sitemaps
  • Local SEO addon
  • RSS feed footer
  • Site Health Checks

But we’ve only just been getting warmed up…

We’ve also secretly been working on a MASSIVE update to lay the groundwork to make AIOSEO the most innovative SEO plugin on the market.

It’s been hard to keep this a secret because we’re incredibly excited for you to use this tool to get more traffic than ever.

In fact, we can’t wait any longer.

Now that we’re getting closer and closer to our release date, we wanted to give you a sneak peek of what’s in store.

Let’s take a look…

All in One SEO 4.0 – A New Way Forward

To help make SEO easier for everyone, and lay the groundwork for even more innovative features, we’ve completely redesigned All in One SEO from the ground up to be ultra user-friendly.

In the process, we also significantly improved performance so AIOSEO is faster than ever.

The most noticeable change when you update will be AIOSEO’s new look:

AIOSEO new dashboard

Right away, you’ll notice a few things:

All in One SEO Menu Location Change

The All in One SEO menu has moved beneath the “Settings” in your WordPress dashboard.

We made this menu change to follow WordPress plugin development best practices.

That’s because with AIOSEO 4.0 we’re improving not just the look of the plugin, but everything under the hood to make sure our code is up to date, runs smoothly, and is easy to extend and add new features to.

New Setup Wizard

The first step in setting up All in One SEO is going through the setup wizard. Now it’s easier than ever to customize your settings to fit your site with just a few clicks.

AIOSEO new setup wizard

New Dashboard

Of course, the new dashboard itself is a huge change!

While we’ve added several new features, don’t worry – all the features you know and love are still here – just easier to use.

The new dashboard includes important notifications, guides so you can easily get help, quick links to the most important settings, and best of all…

…our brand new SEO Site Score!

NEW SEO Site Score

With the new Site Score and SEO Audit Checklist, you can analyze your entire WordPress site to detect critical errors and get actionable insights to boost your SEO and get more traffic.

SEO Competitor Analysis

Notice something else in that screenshot above?

That’s right, AIOSEO 4.0 now includes a competitor analysis tool:

Now there’s no need to pay for expensive software to analyze the competition – we’re bringing it right to your WordPress dashboard.

TruSEO On-Page Analysis

Optimizing each page and blog post to rank high in search results can be difficult and time-consuming when you’re not an SEO expert.

That’s why we’ve also included a new TruSEO Score to tell you exactly how to optimize each piece of content.

Instead of just a pass or fail, you’ll get a score out of 100 and a detailed analysis and to-do list.

And More…

That’s not all!

All in One SEO includes all the features you’re already using, plus even more:

  • Customizable access control
  • Easy settings importer/exporter
  • 1-click migration from other SEO plugins
  • …and more

All in One SEO 4.0 will be released very, very soon, so keep an eye on your WordPress dashboard for the update prompt.

We’re not stopping here…

With our redesign nearly complete, we can turn our focus to new features.

In fact, we already have some amazing new features in store for you to help you rank higher than ever.

No need to spend hours studying SEO or buy expensive software.

We’re ready to revolutionize WordPress SEO – are you ready to join us?

  1. Hello to all,
my opinion is business side. You currently offer your SEO plugin in 3 options and my opinion is to increase the number of options to 4. The 3 options are: Individual, Business, Agency. I think the fourth option is between Business and Agency and it’s called Premiere. Premiere is up to 25 websites. My option is to fan out the market, where Individual is 1 license, Business is up to 10 licenses, Premiere is up to 25 licenses, Agency is unlimited licenses. Fanning out with 4 options means being visionary because there was no Premiere option before.

    1. Hey Stefano! Thanks for the feedback. We are planning on adding a 4th plan, but that is all I can say for right now. Check back soon for all the details!

    1. Hey John, we will be releasing both a free and paid version of our 4.0 release, just the same as it has always been 🙂

  2. Hi. Love the new updates. Can’t wait. Some ideas.

    – Love the competitor research.
    – In seo audit checklist, you can have “keywords”. Maybe it’s better to show how many times these keywords appear in the article. So we can have clearer info.
    – Maybe add image and internal linking optimization

    Good luck.

    1. Excellent ideas, Dima! We are just as excited for this update and still have a lot of work to do in the coming years.

      1. Quick question; will there be any features for adding Schema Markup, or is Yoast still the only SEO plugin plunging into those deep waters?

Any plans to add that if it’s not going to be part of the 4.0 update?

        Thanks.

  3. Thanks for the update.
Question: If I am migrating from Yoast SEO for WordPress to All In One is there a proven path or conversion option. Has this been successfully accomplished in testing?

    1. Hey David, we will definitely have the ability to import from Yoast and other SEO plugins right from the start.

  4. This is fantastic! Question – when purchasing the newest AIOSEO, will it just upgrade the current install on my WP site? All the content where the plugin has been used just updates to the new plugin? Just want to ensure all the effort put in with the previous plugin isn’t lost.

    Thank you,
    Dai

    1. Dai, great question! Yes, all the data in your current version of AIOSEO will be automagically imported when you update to the new plugin. It won’t be instant, depending on how much content you have, but we are working really hard to ensure that your data stays consistent.

  5. Looks pretty amazing, a lot of promises.

I’ve been doing some SEO improvement over the past 10 years, and I’d like to test this stuff, especially the TruSEO by page.

Great work guys, thanks a lot, and have a beautiful day 🙂

  6. This is exciting, especially for us beginner bloggers who are frustrated by SEO. Having the scorecard and keyword use function is going to be great. Can’t wait for the update.

  7. This sounds like a really good upgrade.

The ability to check competitors is something SEMRush has had a monopoly on for quite some time, and now AIOSEO is going to offer it for free! Very cool!

I also like the profile rank to let users know how well their site is doing, and how they can improve their on-page SEO.

It reminds me quite a bit of how RankMath works.

    Great news!

I can’t wait to check it out!

  8. frankly i am excited
    I’m reading other users’ comments
I will integrate this plugin into my site when I decide
    thank you
I wish you success in your work

  9. Loving the new features that you are bringing along, one question remains, for the Category selection, not sure under which category a “Classified Ads” theme would fall under, also, considering most of these themes use custom-taxonomy and the homepage is always updated with new/recycled ads, it’s been the toughest type of themes to handle SEO wise.
Really looking forward to test drive AIOSEO 4.0

  10. Wow! I am extremely excited to read this, especially the seo checklist and the on page analysis. I was planning on migrating to another plugin only for these features but otherwise I have loved using AIOSEO. I am waiting for the update and here to stay 🙂

  11. My website is probably out of date and id dysfunctional. I need to update it but I am not a professional. Is there any way you can look at it and guide me through the process? It is a pretty simple site mostly for blogs and some information about my work. I really need to update it but there is no way I can do that without your help. I can’t begin to understand the jargon that goes with written or oral instructions.

    1. Hi Thomas,
most, if not all of the old hooks, have been removed. We’re going to add back hooks where applicable, but this is still a work in progress. We hope this answers your question. Please feel free to reach out if you need more help: https://aioseo.com/contact/

  12. So… we have over 100 pages and after AIO update almost all of them broke down. Are you going to fix this isue or we have to find some other plugin?

  13. Thank you for the update. lots of new impressive features like site health and competitor analysis.

I want to ask, how about the update date option in the meta description? AIO recommends using only 160 characters. but if it appears on google serp, it will be reduced due to the update date in the meta description. That would be a little annoying.

    1. Hi Sandy,
thank you for your kind feedback! We’re happy to hear you’re enjoying our new features.

Regarding the update date option in the meta description, it’s just a recommendation for the Google search preview, and if Google is appending a date, that doesn’t need to be considered.
