Editing the .htaccess file Using All in One SEO

Did you know you can edit the .htaccess file on your server using All in One SEO?

This makes adding rules to your .htaccess easy as it can be done without special access and tools.

To get started, click on Tools in the All in One SEO menu, and then click on the .htaccess Editor tab.

You’ll see the editor where you can add rules or make any changes.

After editing the .htaccess file, make sure to click the Save Changes button.

NOTE:
The .htaccess Editor tab will only be visible if your server is running Apache. This is because other web server software doesn’t use an .htaccess file.

The File Editor in All in One SEO Pack allows you to edit the .htaccess file for your site. All WordPress sites have an .htaccess file and this module gives you a convenient way of editing it. Care should always be taken when editing important files from within WordPress as an incorrect change could cause WordPress to become inaccessible. Always take a backup before making changes and make sure you have FTP access to your web server and know how to access and edit files via FTP.
