How To Fix JavaScript Errors

If you’re viewing this document, you’ve likely encountered some sort of JavaScript issue. The good news is that these are easily and quickly solved in almost all cases, and we’ll have you up and running in no time.

Here's a list of things to check on your site, which will normally resolve the issue:

  1. Make sure you are on the latest version of AIOSEO (and all addons).
  2. Make sure you are using a currently supported browser.
  3. Make sure to clear your browser cache. For step-by-step directions on how to clear cache, select your browser from this guide.
  4. Clear all caching that's on your site, server, and CDN (if any).
  5. Once all caching has been successfully cleared, perform a hard reload of the page in your browser.
  6. Disable all caching and minification of JavaScript files, especially any WordPress performance plugins.
  7. Log into your site in a Chrome Incognito or Firefox Private window and go to the screen where you're seeing the issue to see if the error clears.
  8. Deactivate and reactivate All in One SEO and all addons to see if this resolves the problem.
  9. Use the Health Check & Troubleshooting (https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/) plugin to debug possible plugin or theme conflicts. Follow the steps in the article on How to troubleshoot issues with All in One SEO here.
